US State Department approves sale of armed Scout, Assault and Light Support Boats to the Philippines worth Usd 126 million

The United States (US) State Department has approved the sale of Scout, Assault and Light Support Boats with Armaments and Equipment worth Usd 126 million. 

The breakdown of the Boats are as follows: 
- 36 9m Scout Boats (SB)
- 36 10m Assault Boats (AB)
- 18 16m Light Support Boats (LSB)

The Boat’s Armaments will include:
- 156 M240B 7.62 x 51 mm Machine Guns
- 24 M2A1 .50 caliber Machine Guns
- 36 M134D-M 7.62 x 51mm Gatling guns

Among the Boat’s Equipment will be as follows: 
- 36 units Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) 280HD
- 399 NFS-NVG/IR Lasers (AN/PVS-14 and AN/PEQ-15)
- 102 Thermal Imager Scope (Handheld)
- 210 Heavy Thermal Weapon Sights (AN/PAS-13)
- 90 Harris Falcon III RF-7850M Radios
- 270 Harris Falcon III RF-7850S Radios
- Spares for: Parts, Engines, Engine Components
- Safety and Rescue Equipment

Services for the Boats include: 
- Training
- Contractor Engineering Technical Services
- Engineering Technical Assistance
- Transportation Cost Services
- Other related elements of Logistics and Program Support

The Scout and Assault Boats will be made by the Willard Marine Inc. Company while the manufacturer of the Light Support Boat will be determined through an Open Competition Contract.

Note that as of now this is just a Possible Sale, it still needs to be approved by the US Congress within a period of 30 days after the Official Notice is sent to them.
