An F-35C Lightning II Stealth Fighter Aircraft recently crashed while attempting to land on the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) Aircraft Carrier of the of the United States Navy (USN) in the South China Sea (SCS)

Seven Sailors were injured in the Incident, of which three were evacuated to Manila to receive further treatment. The Pilot of the Aircraft was able to eject and was recovered safely later.

This is at least the third mishap involving the American-made F-35 Aircraft in the last three Months. Last November 17, 2021, an F-35B Aircraft of the Royal Navy (RN) crashed into the Sea while attempting to take off from the HMS Queen Elizabeth (R08) Aircraft Carrier.

Then early this Month, last January 5, 2022 an F-35A Aircraft of the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) suffered a Malfunction and had to do a Belly Landing in South Korea.

Also, these last 3 mishaps occurred on all the three A, B and C Versions of the Aircraft.
