MPAC BA-493 only suffered Minor Damage against the ASG Boat in the Sulu Sea Operation

The Multi-Purpose Assault Craft (MPAC) Mk 3 of the Philippine Navy (PN) with Hull Number BA-493 was hit 20 times by Bullets during its operation against the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) Speedboat in the Sulu Sea recently.

None of its Crew was injured nor were any of its Equipment damage during the firefight. It is one of the newest MPACs, it was commissioned only in September 2019.

It is not one of the MPACs armed with the Spike ER Missiles or the Mini-Typhoon Remote Weapons Station (RWS), it along with the 2 other newest MPAC Mk 3 Vessels are scheduled to get theirs next Year (2021) as per the last News Reports about them.

BA-493 was supported by another MPAC with the Hull Number BA-491, and it is one of the 3 current MPAC Mk 3 Vessels armed with the Spike ER and Mini-Typhoon RWS.
