The United States (US) has donated Usd 18 million worth of Missiles, Missile Launchers and Guided Bomb Kits to the Philippines which consists of the following:

- 100 Tube-launched, Optically-tracked, Wireless-guided-2A (TOW-2A) Missiles

- 12 TOW Improved Target Acquisition System (ITAS) Missile Launchers

- 24 Paveway Kits for Mk 82 Bombs

You can watch a Video of the Turnover Ceremony below:

You can also look at more Pictures of the Weapons during the Turnover Ceremony here and here.

The TOW-2A is one of the newer Versions of the TOW Missile, it is an Anti-Tank Missile with Tandem (meaning one behind the other) Warheads.

The TOW-2A is backwards compatible with older Missile Launchers, so these could be used also on the AH-1 Cobra Helicopters that were donated to us by Jordan.

The ITAS is the latest Version of the Standalone Launcher for TOW Missiles and can be used during the Day or Night and even in adverse Weather Conditions.
