Last Week (March 28 to April 3, 2021), after a 1 Week delay the 1 million CoronaVac Vaccines for the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) made by the Chinese Company Sinovac Biotech Ltd. arrived on its rescheduled date of March 29, 2021.

‘Main Supplier’
These are the first Vaccines that the Philippines bought that were delivered. This also brings the total number of CoronaVac Vaccines delivered by China to the Philippines to 2 million, half of which were donated while the other half was bought.

Despite some delays, China has been the Philippines’ most reliable source of Covid-19 Vaccines so far, making 3 deliveries already of 600,000 (donated), 400,000 (donated) and 1 million (bought) doses.

The Philippines is buying 25 million doses of the CoronaVac of which 1 million has been delivered already. Around 1.4 to 2.5 million doses are set to arrive this Month (April 2021), though no definite Dates have been set yet.

‘Other Vaccines’
Take note that the Philippines has also already given approval to Pfizer/BioNTech’s BNT162b2 and Gamaleya Institute’s Sputnik V Vaccines for Emergency Use, but only CoronaVac and AZD1222 have been delivered to the Philippines so far.

Meanwhile still no News on the rescheduled delivery of the 979,200 AZD1222 Vaccines made by AstraZeneca thru the COVAX Facility. These were supposed to arrive in the Week of March 21-27, 2021, but was delayed. So now it is at least 2 Weeks delayed in terms of arrival.
