“China and the Philippines should maintain their Friendship” – China’s Foreign Minister

China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi in a recent Speech encouraged the Philippines and China to maintain their Friendship which got a significant boost under the current Administration of President Rodrigo Duterte. 

He also urged that both Countries remove disruptions and deepen their cooperation. Yi said that China:

-  Is willing to continue to guarantee the Philippines’ Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) Vaccine needs;

-  Will cooperate on specific Drugs and Public Health Capacity-building until the Pandemic ends;

-  Will continue to continue to open the Door for more Philippine Agricultural Products and improve Investments to help the Philippines accelerate its Industrialization and Modernization Process and enhance its independent development capabilities

-  Is prepared to promote Joint Development in the South China Sea (SCS) without affecting each other's respective Rights and Claims
