First of all, I would like to thank both the Local and National Governments for providing and facilitating my free vaccination for the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19)

Actually I was hoping to get the CoronaVac Vaccine, but we couldn’t choose and so I got Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen Ad26.COV2.S 1-shot Vaccine instead which was being offered that particular Day.

VACCINE WATCH (Apr. 4-10, 2021) - AstraZeneca Vax depleted, fewer Vax Delivery in April

Last Week (April 4 to 10, 2021), no Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) Vaccine delivery was made, but there were some developments that happened.

First is that the first shipment 525,600 doses of the AZD1222 Vaccines made by AstraZeneca has “run out”, I assume this means that they have either been injected already or reserved for the second shot.

As I had posted about recently, China so far has been the Philippines’ main and most reliable source of Vaccines for the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19), sending 2 million CoronaVac doses in 3 deliveries so far.

The only other Vaccine that has arrived are AstraZeneca’s AZD1222 Vaccine thru the COVAX Facility of which only 525,600 doses have been sent in 2 deliveries. Meanwhile, their next delivery of 979,200 doses have been DELAYED for 2 Weeks now.

‘Main Supplier’
These are the first Vaccines that the Philippines bought that were delivered. This also brings the total number of CoronaVac Vaccines delivered by China to the Philippines to 2 million, half of which were donated while the other half was bought.

There has been a lot of noise in the Philippine Press lately on the issue of the Prices of the Vaccines for the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19), so I decided to do some research on my own on what really should be the Prices of those based on the available information on the Internet.

My findings are below, and for the sake of transparency I included the Links on where I found them next to the Prices or on the "Sources" below. Note that the Prices below are PER DOSE, and it takes at least 2 doses per Vaccine for the immunization.

Here is a very good Website tracking the Status of the Vaccine for the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19). As of January 5, 2021, a total of 7 Vaccines have already been approved by at least 1 Country.

Russia’s Sputnik V Vaccine made by Gamaleya Institute and China’s BBIBP-CorV Vaccine made by Sinopharm has already been approved by 4 Countries each. Both can be stored at normal Refrigeration Temperatures.
