Notice of Award for the Philippine Marines’ Rocket Launcher Project released in December 2019

Another piece of great news after a failed first bidding, the second bidding was successful and a Notice of Award (NoA) for the Philippine Marine Corps (PMC) Squad Rocket Launcher Light (SRLL) Project was released to the Bulgarian company Arsenal JSCo last month (December 2019).

The second bidding was held in October 2019, and the Contract was worth Php 474 million (Usd 9.3 million) for 702 RPG-like units, or Php 675k (Usd 13k) per unit. This was lower than the Php 515 million (Usd 10 million) budget set for the project.

The only RPG-like weapon that Arsenal JSCo advertised on their website is the ATGL-L family of weapons, so one of those configurations will be the SRLL for the PMC.

This order means each PMC Squad will finally have a Rocket Launcher with six rounds of its own, which will make the PMC even a more formidable fighting force.
