This is a piece of News that most of the Philippine Press has been intentionally and desperately hiding from the Philippines and which you will only see on Social Media.
A quick Google search shows not a single one of the Philippines’ News Organizations published it locally because it destroys their carefully built narrative against China.
So the United States (US) Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called both Singapore and Indonesia to seek support for the US’ firmer stance against China, but both Countries refused to give it to him as they wanted to remain “Neutral” in the dispute.
Singapore, for example, told Pompeo straight to his face that “Singapore is not a claimant state and we do not take sides on the competing territorial claims. Our key interest is in maintaining peace and stability in one of the world’s busiest waterways.”
Indonesia on the other hand, told Pompeo that their priority is “Vaccine Production for the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19)” and “Strengthening of Trade and Investment”. Analysts point out that Indonesia refused to stand by Pompeo’s statement against China because they rely on China for the bulk of Investments into their Country.
‘Sa Pilipinas lang talaga me nauuto ang Amerika’, thanks in part to our lax Citizenship Laws that allow Dual Citizenships, many of whom end up in the US. The Philippines used to be the US’ Puppy, especially during the time of AbNoy, but not anymore under the time of Duterte that is why the America’s Dogs here in the Philippines are getting desperate.
