| AFP Spokesman Statement to a News Organization |
Last December 16, 2022, the Spokesman of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) was quoted in a News Article saying, “Everyone is invited to join us on this momentous occasion. The anniversary program can be viewed on Monday at 2 p.m. on the RTVM Facebook Page”
Based on this, I thought that the Event would be open to the Public. But when I arrived at the Camp Aguinaldo Gate at around 11:45 am, it was closed and the Guard there told me that only those with the Proper Clearance were allowed to go in.
I tried to show him the Article, but they just said that I complain to where I got that News. I can understand the Guard’s Position, they were just following Orders.
Now if the AFP Spokesman was inviting People only on the Livestreaming Event and not to the actual Event itself, then I think he could’ve worded it better, he could’ve just said, “Everyone is invited to join us on the Livestream of the Anniversary Program on Monday at 2 p.m. on the RTVM Facebook Page”
That would’ve been a lot more clear and unambiguous that People were only being invited to the Livestreaming and not the Event itself. And it wasn’t just me, there were other People also who were also barred from entering, as can be seen from the Pictures.

Quite a waste of time and money on my and other People’s part also. Anyway, hoping to see better communication from the AFP on their next Events.
