Thanks to the heads up of one of this Page’s Followers on this one, the RT America News Host Rick Sanchez recently claimed in a Video that the United States (US) had completed a deal with the Philippines for 12 brand new F-16 Fighter Aircraft worth Usd 64 million each. Below is the Video that you can watch, starting from the 1:42 minute mark:
Quoting Mr. Sanchez who said, “For example the Philippines, let's look at the Philippines. The United States just completed a deal to send them 12 brand new F-16s, at 64 million dollars a piece, as well as Harpoon Missiles valued at 120 million dollars a piece. Sidewinder Missiles as well, valued at 42 million dollars …”
The Video was released last August 6, 2021, or a Week ago, but up to now there has been no other News Organization that has published similar or the same News, and neither the US nor the Philippine Government or the Manufacturer has confirmed it.
RT America itself did not reveal the source of their information so I would classify this piece of News as unconfirmed for now, until if and when other News Publications or the Government/Manufacturer/etc. does confirm it.
It’s interesting though where he got the price of Usd 64 million each since the total offer package of the US released a couple of Months ago was at Usd 202.5 million (Php 10.1 billion) each.
Sanchez’s information on the Harpoon Missiles worth Usd 120 million each is wrong though, it should be Usd 10 million each for 12 Missiles.
