Why aren't the Dilawans also computing how much Malaysia owes Phl for Sabah?

For the Motherland Post on asking Damages for Sabah also

Just an interesting Article by the Tribune regarding the Philippines’ claim on Sabah, let me highlight some of its most important points:

* There are Fake Heirs of the Sultan of Sulu who are suspected of helping the Malaysians fight off the Philippine’s claim to Sabah.

In light of the recent exchange of Tweets recently between the Foreign Affairs Secretaries of Malaysia and the Philippines, the Sultanate of Sulu has released a Statement asserting the Philippines’ claims on Sabah

DFA Secretary Locsin spars with Malaysia’s Foreign Minister on the Philippine claim on Sabah

Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Teddy Locsin Jr. got into a Word War with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia recently on the Philippines’ claim on Sabah

The spat started when Locsin replied to a Tweet by the US Embassy that mentioned Sabah being in Malaysia. Locsin said that Sabah was not in Malaysia.

The Foreign Minister of Malaysia then said Locsin’s Tweet was irresponsible and that he is summoning the Philippine Ambassador to Malaysia on Monday, August 3, 2020 to explain Locsin’s Tweet. As a response, Locsin is also summoning Malaysia’s Ambassador to the Philippines.

Sabah is owned by the Philippines – Miriam Defensor Santiago

No less than the late Miriam Defensor Santiago said that Sabah is rightfully owned by the Philippines in her Legal opinion. She said that the Sovereignty over Sabah was vested to the Sultan of Sulu, and the Heirs of the Sultan ceded their Sovereignty of Sabah to the Philippines.

Miriam also discusses more Technical Law details on why the Philippines has a more solid claim on Sabah than Malaysia in the Article.

Meanwhile, the China-obsessed and supposed Nationalist Antonio Carpio is strangely silent about the issue of Sabah while constantly harping about “China, China” at every single opportunity he can get.

Malaysia’s Foreign Minister says that his Government has stopped paying the Heirs of Sulu for Sabah

The Foreign Minister of Malaysia said that his Country has stopped paying Cession Money to the 9 Heirs of the Sultanate of Sulu since 2013.

He also said that Malaysia and the Philippines have an understanding that the Claim over Sabah will not be raised at any Regional or International Platform.

The Sultanate of Sulu obtained Sabah from Brunei as a Gift for helping put down a Rebellion on Borneo Island. The British North Borneo Company leased Sabah in 1878 for 5,000 Malay Dollars per Year, this was subsequently increased to 5,300 Malay Dollars a Year in 1903.

US Sided with Malaysia in the 1968 Dispute with Sabah

Another gem we can pick up from the Research Report of Philippine Air Force (PAF) Pilot Col. Samson Mahimer in 1988 was how the United States (US) sided with Malaysia on the Philippines’ dispute with Malaysia on the island of Sabah in 1968.

The US’ support of Malaysia was made public to the point that it was headlined all over the news, which he found to be demoralizing as it is not something you would expect from a supposed close ally.
