China Daily seems to have Trolled the US about the secondhand C-130 Aircraft

China Daily's Headline on the US' secondhand C-130 Aircraft

I love how this China Daily Publication seems to have trolled the United States (US) with that Headline about the secondhand C-130 Hercules Aircraft that the US provided us. I wonder though what China would’ve given us, or at least help us fund if they were in similar position to provide us stuff?

When President Rodrigo Duterte first sat into Office in 2016, one of the first things that he told the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) was how China and Russia each were offering Usd 500 million lines of Credit for Military Equipment.

The first 3 crashes were Helicopters, namely a UH-1 Huey, an MD520MG and a brand new S-70i Black Hawk Helicopter.

US sold some of its C-130 aircraft to the Philippines in 2019

The United States (US) Department of Defense (DoD) Official said in a recent interview that the US sold secondhand C-130 Hercules Transport aircraft to the Philippines in 2019.

The quantity of the aircraft is unclear though as per the Official’s statement said, “…four C-130 Hercules aircraft to Chile and the Philippines …”

However, a report from 2018 by the Inquirer mentioned that 2 C-130 aircraft were to be acquired by the Philippine Air Force (PAF) from the US, so these are likely it.
