The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) recently reported that for the first half of this Year of 2026 alone, or from January to June, they had already approved around $54 billion worth of Investments.

August 18, 2026: Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim cites US & Philippine Military Bases in Balabac Island as a major Security Issue for Sabah
No less than the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, recently highlighted as a major Security Issue the development of a major Military Base by the Philippines and the United States (US) on Balabac Island

The Island is only 20 minutes away from Malaysia's own Banggi Island, and is also near Sabah, which is currently under Malaysian Territory but also has been claimed by the Philippines before.

Due to this, Anwar said there is a need to strengthen the Malaysian Armed Forces' Defence Capabilities in Sabah, although he says they don't have the Resources to develop the Military and Air Bases there to the same Scale or Level as that of on Balabac Island.

The Company's Robotic Systems have allowed Surgeons to treat around 2.5 million Patients already in the last two Decades. Their Presence in Malaysia will help that Country establish its Reputation as the leading Medical Technology Hub in South East Asia (SEA).

August 14, 2026: Malaysia’s Economy grew by 6% from April to June 2026, compared to only 2.3% for the Philippines
The Central Bank of Malaysia, called the "Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM)" recently reported that their Country's Economy or Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 6% in the second Quarter of this Year of 2026, or from April to June.

The Bank said this is due to the steady Growth in Household Income among Malaysians, while Investments continued to grow due to the continued spending on Infrastructure, Machinery and Equipment. Exports for Electronics, Services, Liquefied Natural Gas and Manufacturing Products also showed steady growth.

Inflation in the same Period increased, but only very slightly to 1.9% compared to 1.6% in the first Quarter, and much lower than the 2.1% in the fourth Quarter of last Year of 2025.

In contrast, the Philippine Economy only grew by almost a third that of Malaysia's at 2.3% for the same Period, while the Philippines' Inflation Rate grew by more than twice at 4.8%.

August 8, 2026: Philippine News Blackout on Malaysia’s new Protest in the United Nations on Philippines’ claim on Sabah
Not reported or put on a News Blackout by most of the Philippine Press was how Malaysia recently filed a new formal Protest to the United Nations (UN) on the Philippines' claim to an extended Continental Shelf which encroached on the Maritime Territory of Sabah

Malaysia's Foreign Minister, Datuk Hasan said that the Protest was filed with the UN in July 2026, just before the Philippines made its own Oral Submission on the Claim in the same Organization.

The Philippines first filed an Extended Continental Shelf (ECS) Claim in the western Palawan Region of the South China Sea (SCS) in June 2024, then further extended it in July of this Year to include Sabah.

July 28, 2026: Malaysia must continue to remain Neutral to continue to be a Trusted Destination for Foreign Investors – Malaysian Gov’t Officials
Top Officials of the Malaysian Government recently said in a Symposium that their Country must continue to remain Neutral so that it will continue to be a Trusted Destination for Foreign Investors.

The Chairman of the "Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA)", Tengku Zafrul said that taking Sides in an increasingly fragmented World could undermine Malaysia's ability to attract Investments.

Quoting him directly, "One must not underestimate the importance of Geopolitics, that's why I believe it is important that the Government continues to play that Position where Malaysia continues to be neutral in its approach".

The Deputy Governor of the "Bank Negara Malaysia", Datuk Omar said that Malaysia's Neutral Stance has enabled it to diversify its Trade Relationships and Sources of Foreign Direct Investments.

Quoting him directly also, "I do agree with Tengku Zafrul that we should maintain our Neutrality because we have benefited from this. Our Trade is very diversified. Similarly, the Source of our Foreign Direct Investment is also highly diversified”.

"So that goes to show that our position as the indispensable connector has benefited us and we should continue with an open Trade and Investment Policy".

Note that like the Philippines, Malaysia also has Territorial Disputes with China, which is one of Malaysia's biggest or perhaps its biggest Trading Partner. Malaysia also has various Territorial Disputes with the Philippines.

May 5, 2026: Australian Company AirTrunk to invest Usd 3 billion more in Malaysia to build two more Data Centers
The Australian Company "AirTrunk" will invest an additional Usd 3 billion in Malaysia to build two more Data Centers there. They had previously invested Usd 3.8 billion to build their first two Data Centers in the City of Johor Bahru

Once completed, AirTrunk will have a total of four Data Centers worth Usd 6.8 billion in Malaysia. The two new Data Centers will reportedly use 100% Recycled Water to minimize their Impact on the Environment.

Data Centers are specialized Facilities that house Computing Infrastructure to store, process and manage large Volumes of Digital Data and Information Technology (IT) Services.

February 10, 2026: A Reminder of how AbNoy Panot willingly offered to give up Sabah in Exchange for Malaysia’s Help against China back in 2015
After all this Talk recently about “Nationalism”, “Patriotism”, “Sovereignty”, “Territory”, “Treason”, etc. when it comes to CHINA, I would just like to remind everybody about how AbNoy was practically giving away the Philippines’ Claim on Sabah to Malaysia, just so it could get back against China.

News Reports back in 2015 showed that the Administration of former President Benigno Aquino III OFFICIALLY offered Malaysia that it will downgrade its Claim to Sabah in exchange for them supporting the Philippines' Arbitral Claims against China.

No less than the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) itself submitted the offer thru a "Note Verbale" to the Malaysian Embassy. The Note Verbale said that the Philippines will withdraw its Protest to Malaysia's claim of Sabah as Part of its extended Continental Shelf which Malaysia submitted to the United Nations (UN) earlier in 2009.

So this is not just a “Rumor” or something that came from Anonymous Sources, this was an actual, Official Act of the Philippine Government under AbNoy Panot Aquino. Again, CLEARLY these Kakampinks were more than willing to throw away Claims to Philippine Territory IF it doesn't involve "China". If it's "China", then they adopt the Mentality of, "They are always Wrong, we are always Right" B.S.

Why? Because the United States (US) apparently ORDERED them to. As I have been saying, the US badly wants and needs the Philippines to help in the Defense of Taiwan, which is the second nearest Allied Territory available to them.

And we're not talking of just some small Japanese Islands near Taiwan like the Yaeyama Islands, we're talking about the Batanes Chain of Islands and the entire huge Island of Luzon itself. So the Kakampinks really are being "Nationalistic" every time they go and speak against China, but not for the Philippines, but for the US and its Interests.

August 29, 2025: “Philippines, Malaysia started at same Level, but now Malaysia’s GDP Per Capita is 3.6 times that of Philippines” – World Bank
The Lead Economist in Malaysia of the World Bank (WB), Dr. Apurva Sanghi recently praised Malaysia's success in lifting millions out of Poverty.

He said that around 1957 when the Country declared its Independence, half of all Malaysians lived in Poverty, but now that number has gone down to only 6%, lifting around 14 million People out of Poverty.

He also noted how simple Goods used to make up 95% of Malaysia's Exports in the 1960s, but that number has now gone down to only 30%.

And lastly, quoting what he said directly: "The Philippines, Zambia, and Others all started at the same Point as Malaysia, but today, Malaysia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per Capita is 3.6 times that of the Philippines and about nine times that of Zambia".

GDP per Capita is derived by dividing a Country's GDP by its Population Size, and it shows that Country's average Economic Output per Person. It is in Indicator of a Country's Economic Performance and the Standard of Living of its People. Thus the higher the GDP per Capita is, the better.

MY THOUGHTS:
Ouch, that hurts, coming from the Country which stole Sabah from us. Maybe Malaysia is indirectly telling the People of Sabah how much better they are off with Malaysia than with the Philippines. Note that our current Poverty Rate is at 15.5%, or more than two and a half times that of Malaysia.

This is just another Example of how much we are being left behind by our South East Asian (SEA) Neighbors.

In the previous Post I wrote about Thailand’s Land Bridge, and now this with Malaysia rubbing their Success on our Faces. And yet the United States (US) and their Id**t Filipino Doggie Arf-Arfs still want us to go to War with “China” to defend Taiwan instead of focusing on Progress and Development.

April 6, 2025: Malaysian News Publication wrote about claiming Palawan, Balabac and Cagayan Islands, will the BBM Government react strongly also?
A Malaysian News Publication recently posted an Article about how Malaysia could assert its Claims on Palawan, Balabac and the Cagayan Islands in the Philippines. The Author went on to discuss in Detail the supposed Historical Claims of Malaysia into these Areas.

I am not going to summarize the B.S. that he said, but you can read about it if you want to the "Jesselton Times" here: https://jesseltontimes.com/2025/04/06/could-malaysia-assert-claims-over-palawan-balabac-and-cagayan-island-in-the-philippines/

MY NOTES:
A Month or so ago, the entire Bangag Government and Philippine Press made such a big Deal of some ordinary Chinese Citizen on Social Media about claiming Palawan, but I doubt if the Bangag and the Press will now make the same Fuss about this Claim by Malaysia on the same Area.

And to think that this Malaysian Claim should have more “weight” than the Chinese Incident since this was published at a legitimate Malaysian News Publication, and the Reason is simple: Because the United States (US) doesn’t want the Philippines to fight any other Country except China when it comes to Territorial Disputes.

And especially Malaysia which is the former Colony of one of its closest Allies, the United Kingdom (UK) which still has some Influence in Malaysia. Somebody send this Article to the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) which was so willing to ride on that Chinese Claim recently, see if they will react anywhere near the same Way.

February 17, 2025: PM Ibrahim says Malaysia will stay Neutral, but also says ASEAN must strengthen ties with China
At the "China Conference South-East Asia 2025" Event in Hong Kong recently, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim said that his Country will stay Neutral in the ongoing Rivalries between the Superpower Countries, but also said that the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) must strengthen Ties with China.

Quoting him directly, "Malaysia’s Position is clear: We remain non-aligned and will not be drawn into great Power Rivalries. We reject Economic Coercion and Unilateral Actions that undermine Regional Stability."

"ASEAN must also expand its Global Engagement beyond Traditional Partners. Strengthening Ties with China, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), BRICS, and other Emerging Economies is not about choosing Sides; Rather, it is about ensuring ASEAN’s Strategic Relevance in a Multipolar World."

Malaysia, just like the Philippines, also has an ongoing and unsettled Territorial Dispute in the South China Sea (SCS), but that has not kept them from allying themselves closely with China and benefiting from them a lot in Terms of Trade and their Economy.
