In light of the recent exchange of Tweets recently between the Foreign Affairs Secretaries of Malaysia and the Philippines, the Sultanate of Sulu has released a Statement asserting the Philippines’ claims on Sabah.
Among the highlights of the Statement were:
- The Sultanate wrote that “the people of Sulu have lived on these islands for 600 years and will continue to do so in the centuries to come”;
- The Sultanate says that it is recognized in various Countries like Portugal, Serbia and Yugoslavia, Ethiopia and Poland;
- It is appealing to the Malaysian Government and the International Community to settle the dispute through Diplomatic Means.
Meanwhile, Fake Nationalists like Antonio Carpio, Risa Hontiveros, Albert Del Rosario and Florin Hilbay continue to be silent on the Sabah issue. Maybe they don’t want to talk about it because it is not as per the interests of the Americans.
