Malaysia’s Foreign Minister says that his Government has stopped paying the Heirs of Sulu for Sabah

The Foreign Minister of Malaysia said that his Country has stopped paying Cession Money to the 9 Heirs of the Sultanate of Sulu since 2013.

He also said that Malaysia and the Philippines have an understanding that the Claim over Sabah will not be raised at any Regional or International Platform.

The Sultanate of Sulu obtained Sabah from Brunei as a Gift for helping put down a Rebellion on Borneo Island. The British North Borneo Company leased Sabah in 1878 for 5,000 Malay Dollars per Year, this was subsequently increased to 5,300 Malay Dollars a Year in 1903.

Control of Sabah was then transferred from the British to the Malaysian Government after World War 2.

Now doesn’t this make Malaysia a “Thief” of our Territory also? If so, why aren’t people like Albert Del Rosario and Antonio Carpio aren’t defending it? They don’t even seem to want to talk about it.

Somebody should bring this up with them, they are so rabid about supposedly “defending” our claimed Territories in the South China Sea (SCS), and yet they are so quiet about Sabah.

Good thing though that Malaysia’s F/A-18 Hornets could not be made to fight another Country like ours as their former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad said a couple of months ago, less possible threat to deal with.
