BrahMos Missiles for the Jose Rizal class Frigates?

An article from the Indian website named "Indian Defence Research Wing (IDRW)" says that the Philippines is reportedly planning to arm the Jose Rizal class Frigates with BrahMos Anti-Ship missiles.

However, the article itself cites a Philippine News Agency (PNA) article that is supposedly is the source of the information, but I cannot remember any such article, nor could I find one.

So for now I would say that this is unconfirmed. Also there is the issue of the BrahMos missiles' weight, it may be a bit too heavy for the Jose Rizal class Frigates.

The Frigates currently are planned to use four SSM-700K C-Star missiles, and each of those weigh only 700 kg, four times lighter than each BrahMos missile which weighs 3,000 kg.

Now even if the Jose Rizal Frigates could be made to carry four BrahMos missiles, that would be equivalent to carrying 16 C-Star missiles. So which is better, four BrahMos or 16 C-Star missiles?

Personally I would go for the 16 C-Stars because more targets can be engaged.
