In a scoop, the European Security and Defence website quoted an anonymous Senior Indian Government Official as saying that the Contract for the PJ-10 BrahMos missile for the Philippine Arny (PA) could be signed by the end of this year (2020).
Quoting what the anonymous Official said, “The first export contract for the BrahMos medium-range ramjet supersonic cruise missiles is likely to be signed with the Philippines authorities by the end of this year. Price negotiations are almost in the final stages…Once international travel is resumed, a joint committee that oversees defence logistics will meet in Manila to discuss the modalities to conclude the deal by the end of the year”
The sooner we sign any Military Contract, the better, but if it is going to take that long to be done in this case then no choice but just to wait it out until it happens. Note that previous news reports said the original schedule for the BrahMos Contract Signing was supposed to be April 2020, but was cancelled due to the Corona Virus Diseas 2019 (Covid-19) Pandemic.
