Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana told the Defense publication Jane’s recently that the Self Propelled Howitzer (SPH) that the Philippine Army (PA) will be procuring will be the ATMOS.
The Contract was signed early this year (2020) with the Israeli company Elbit Systems, it is worth Usd 47.2 million (Php 2.386 billion) for 12 units, which works out to Usd 3.93 million (Php 198.83 million) per unit.

The Notice to Proceed (NTP) was issued last month (April 2020) and delivery is set by April 2022.
