The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) released a new Pictures of Project BUHAWI during the visit of AFP Chief General Gilbert Gapay to the Naval Sea Systems Command (NSSC) in Cavite City last November 4, 2020.
The Project is a Remote Weapons Station (RWS) for Machine Guns up to .50 cal., and "BUHAWI" stands for "Building a Universal mount for Heavy-barrel Automated Weapon Integration".
News about this Project was released last January 2020 thru a Video by the official Delfin Lorenzana Page on Facebook. You can learn more information about the Project by watching the Video, a link of a copy of it I have posted below.
Compared to last January 2020, the visible change in Project BUHAWI is the addition of a Gun Shield on the RWS Unit.

RHK, was the RCWS shown on the video armed with a AN/M-3 HMG?
ReplyDeleteI am not that familiar with all of the Browning M2 Heavy Machine Gun Variants, but could be, based on the Jacketed Barrel. If so, I am not sure where they got it, though.
