BRP Antonio Luna Frigate Status Update – Dec. 7, 2020

The Philippine Navy (PN) recently gave a Status Update of their BRP Antonio Luna (FF-151) Frigate recently, and these are:

* The Ship had completed and passed its first Sea Acceptance Trial which was done last November 30 to December 1, 2020. 

* Tested during that first Sea Trial were its Performance, Propulsion Control, Navigation Systems and Auxiliary Machinery.

* The third batch of PN Personnel that will man the Ship arrived in South Korea last November 27, 2020. They are undergoing the 14 day Mandatory Quarantine before going thru the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Training.

* The Ship is now undergoing its second Sea Acceptance Trial (from December 7 to 11, 2020) where its Communication System will be tested.

As per the latest previous News Report, the BRP Antonio Luna is scheduled to be delivered to the Philippines between late January 2021 to early February 2021.
