The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has started the construction of the Foundations of the Panguil Bay Bridge which will connect the Provinces of Misamis Occidental and Lanao del Norte in Mindanao.
The Bridge’s cost of Php 7.4 billion is funded by a Loan from South Korea and it is scheduled to be completed by December 2023.
Once completed, travel across the Bridge will only be 7 minutes, and it will be one of the longest Water-spanning Bridges in the Philippines, surpassing that of the San Juanico Bridge which connects the Islands of Samar and Leyte.
The Panguil Bay Bridge will be 3.169 km long while the San Juanico Bridge is 2.16 km long. Below are more Pictures of the construction:
