China set to produce possible World-changing EV Battery, Philippines could again be left behind

China is set to start Mass Production of a possible World-changing Electric Vehicle (EV) Battery and the Philippines could again be left behind, even in South East Asia (SEA) only

The Chinese Company Contemporary Amperex Technology Company Limited (CATL) recently introduced its fast-charging Battery for Electric Vehicles (EV) called the “Shenxing” which, if proven to be practical and reasonably priced in real Life use, could change the World as we know it in the next ten Years. 

The Battery will use the Lithium Iron Phosphate (Li-Fe-Po or LFP) Technology which enables it to be charged for only 10 minutes and yet have a 400 km range. Mass Production will start at the end of this Year of 2023 and Vehicles equipped with it will start rolling out in the first Quarter of 2024. 

Such a Battery will remove the so-called “Range Anxiety” usually found with EVs as charging won’t be as long anymore, and could lead to the extinction of most Vehicles using Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) within the next Decade.

The Thing is that as I have been posting around in this Page for quite some time now, China has been investing in a lot of Factories making EVs and their Batteries in other South East Asian (SEA) except the Philippines, so those other Countries will be in a better position to take advantage of the possible coming EV revolution. 

‘Mapagiiwanan na naman tayo, kahit sa SEA lang’ (We will be left behind again, even in SEA only), as usual
