| The Manila Bulletin's Headline of BBM suspending China's Reclamation Projects like what the US wanted |
So once again the United States (US) gets what it wants in the Philippines and protects their South East Asia (SEA) Regional Headquarters for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) at their Embassy along Roxas Boulevard after Bong Bong Marcos (BBM) suspends all except one of the Reclamation Projects in Manila Bay.
BBM cites the Reason for the suspension as due to “Flooding”, as if that wasn’t factored in already when the intensive Feasibility Studies were made for these Projects. And just like what happened with the Sangley International Airport (SIA), the US with the support of some Philippine Agencies was able to stop China’s involvement in the Project.
As of now the Projects are just “Suspended”, it may or may not continue, but the way things look, BBM won’t likely allow them to continue if China is involved. However, if no other Investor steps in to take China’s Place, then expect these Projects to be outright CANCELLED, with the Philippines leaving empty-handed.
Naturally, the US who opposed the Projects should be the ones to take over it, but the A**holes that they are, they would prefer the Philippines to end up with NOTHING than have Progress thru China. Remember that these Reclamation Projects would’ve ended up with new, modern Cities that would’ve helped the Philippines much in terms of Prestige and Progress.
If the China indeed is kicked out of these Projects, I expect them to do some sort of RETALIATION for it, right now I am pretty sure they are already weighing on how to go about it if indeed that happens
