PBBM may be looking to start easing Tensions with China

After shooting down the Idea of sending back to China their Ambassador to the Philippines, President Bong Bong Marcos (PBBM) is now saying that he wants to do make a "Paradigm Shift" in Terms of dealing with China as the current Ways have shown little Progress. 

I first heard the Term "Paradigm Shift" back in the 1990s, and it simply means moving away from what is Customary, or what is in Filipino, 'Nakaugalian'. And what is the "Customary" Way of dealing with China, especially with his Administration lately? It is the CONFRONTATIONAL Way. 

Now if this is what he means, then we may be looking at him trying to be more Friendly with China, and hope to get a better Deal with them. Or maybe he is just "Testing" the Waters by saying these Things now in Public to see how they will react. 

If he is indeed contemplating on easing the Tensions and becoming more Friendly with China, then I suggest that we all support him, because that means the Pinklawans (including the Philippine Press) and the Leftists will start attacking him again. 

They want him and our Military occupied with "China" so the Focus will be there and the New People's Army (NPA) won't be crushed and will even be able to regain back some or all of its former Strength. 

Anyway, let's see what PBBM actually does. Here are excerpts of what he really said recently: 

"Well, to this point, we have resorted to the traditional Methods of Diplomacy where, should there be an Incident, we send Note Verbal. Our Embassy will send a démarche to the Foreign Affairs (Ministry) Office in Beijing, but we have been doing this for many Years now, with very little progress. 

We have to do something what we have not done before. We have to come up with a new Concept, a new Principle, a new Idea so that we move, as I say, we move the Needle the other way. It’s going up, let’s move the Needle back, so that Paradigm Shift is something that we have to formulate. 

We do not want to go the Point where there are Incidents that might cause an actual violent Conflict. Maybe from a mistake or a misunderstanding and these Things happen all the time. 

And so, we have, in my Review, it’s time that the Countries that feel that they have an involvement in this Situation, we have to come up with a Paradigm Shift. 

We have to bring all of those Ideas together and to change the direction that these Incidents have taken us. We have to stop going that way. We’ve gone down the wrong Road. We have to disengage and find ourselves a more peaceful Road to go down. 

We have, as I have said, the Consensus that we must continue to promote peace, but we have to decide amongst ourselves what part each of us plays and what we can play, what we are willing to play. 

So, and put that – put all of those Elements together so that we have a, so that we have a good Plan that will take us as I’ve said, down, not the Road to conflict, but down the Road to peace"
