| China Daily: CATL unveils Ultra-Fast Charging Battery; Channel News Asia (CNA): China EV Maker Zeekr unveils Fast-Charging LFP Battery |
I randomly saw an Interview on a Podcast recently where Billionaire Elon Musk himself said that "Everything will turn Electric" when referring to Vehicles, and as far as Electric Vehicle (EV) Technology is concerned, China is way ahead of the United States (US) overall, and now TWO of their Companies just started the Mass Production Ultra-Fast Charging EV Batteries that can be charged 100% with hundreds of kilometers in range in just 15 minutes.
The first of these Companies, the Contemporary Amperex Technology Company Limited (CATL) launched the World's first Super-Fast Charging Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) Battery recently. The Battery can be fully charged in just around 15 minutes and has a Range of at least 400 km.
The Battery is called the "Shenxing" and CATL is the largest EV Battery Manufacturer in the World. EVs with the Shenxing Battery is expected to be sold starting the First Quarter of next Year of 2024.
The second of these Chinese Companies is Zeekr which also recently launched their own Super-Fast Charging LFP Battery which can be fully charged in 15 minutes and have a Range of around 500 km.
‘Parting Shot’
With these Super Fast Chaging Batteries now in Production, then I expect the EV Revolution to be fully on track within the next five to ten Years. Most of the major Countries in South East Asia (SEA) like Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore are very much ready for the coming EV Revolution, mainly because of their close ties with China.
The Philippines, on the other Hand, because it insists on sucking up on the US’ A** and antagonizing China then will be FALLING BEHIND, AGAIN ...
