March 1, 2024: March 2024 Black Eagles Aerobatic Team Airshow in Pampanga

Good News, the Black Eagles Aerobatic Team of the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) will be conducting a Series of Airshows here in the Philippines, and the ones on March 4 and 5, 2024 will be open to the Public, although you will have to register with the Philippine Air Force (PAF) first to attend the Events. 

I will provide the Link below where you can register if you plan to attend the Event/s. I probably won’t be attending this one, just a bit too far for me. But if you are in the Area there in Pampanga or willing to travel there, then good for you. 

I think they will likely do some Static Display of PAF Aircraft also, just like they did during the last Black Eagles Airshow here in the Philippines I think a Year or so ago. 

I did attend an Aircraft Display at Clark several Years ago, my Tip if you are going is to wear Light Clothes and a Hat. Also see the Link below for more Instructions from the PAF about the Event.

February 1, 2024: PA and DOST to develop locally-made Fabric for Military Uniforms

The Philippine Textile Research Institute (PTRI) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the Philippine Army (PA) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to produce locally made Fabric that will be used for the Uniforms of the PA. 

The Fabric will meet the Standards of the PA and will be cooler, more breathable, Flame-retardant, easier to dry and resistant to Abrasion. The said Fabric will undergo Field Tests to identify which Areas it needs to be improved on.

January 31, 2024: PAF Huey Helicopters help put out Fires in Benguet 

Here are Videos of the Huey Helicopters of the 505th Search and Rescue Group of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) conducting Helibucket or Bambi Bucket Operations to help put out the Forest Fires in Benguet. The Fires started last January 26, 2024 and most of it has been neutralized already, but occasionally some breakouts are still occurring as of this writing

January 24, 2023: NAVFORCEN Vessels of the PN participated in the 2024 Sinulog Fluvial Procession

The Vessels of the Naval Forces Central (NAVFORCEN) Command of the Philippine Navy (PN) recently participated in the annual Sinulog Fluvial Procession off the Coast of Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu to ensure its safe and successful conduct.

Some of the Vessels shown in the Pictures are the Acero-class Vessel BRP Gener Tinangag (PG-903); the Andrada-class Vessels BRP Filipino Flojo (PC-386) and BRP Enrique Jurado (PC-371); and the Ivatan-class Vessel BRP Batak (LC-299)
