Another Survey that the "Pulse Asia Research Incorporated" Organization released recently was the "Most Urgent National Concerns" of the Philippines, and again, much like in the many previous Surveys, "Territorial Defense" or "Defending the Integrity of Philippine Territory against Foreigners" is still among the LEAST Priorities for most Filipinos.
Only 9% of Filipinos considered it as "Urgent", good enough for 13th out of 17 Places, the same Position it held compared to the last similar Survey back in December of 2023. There was an increase in the percentage compared to the December 2023 Result, but it was only minimal at only +3%.
And this despite the constant, daily Anti-China News Reports by the Government and Philippine Main Stream Media (MSM) for the past many Months already, and it hardly made a dent in the Minds of most Filipinos on what they consider to be the most important Concerns.
The Top Three most Urgent Concerns for Filipinos were first, "Controlling Inflation" with 70% concerned about it; second was "Increasing the Pay of Workers" with 36% and third was "Fighting Graft and Corruption in Government" at 26%.
Of Particular Concern for the Government would be the "Fighting Graft and Corruption" since it marked the biggest increase compared to December 2023 with +7%, and it rose in Terms of Ranking from fifth Place back then to third Place now.
So it seems that the Revelations about ongoing Corruptions being made by Social Media Influencers like Maharlika, General Macanas, Sass Sasot, etc. are making a big difference, indeed.
Also of interest is the "Net Approval Rating (NAR)" of how the Government is addressing the Issues, and while the NAR for "Territorial Defense" is high at +32%, they are very, very low for the top three Concerns at -66% for "Controlling Inflation", -5% for "Increasing the Pay of Workers" and -21% for "Fighting Graft and Corruption".
This indicates that the Government is wasting too much effort on those Concerns which are the least for the Filipino People, and not enough effort for the Concerns that they want solved most urgently.
Note also that each of the negative NAR percentage Points mean that more People actually disapprove of the Government's handling of the Concerns that those that approved of it.
