Malaysia rejected US call to drop Russia, but still gets more US Investments than Philippines

The Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim recently made an explosive revelation at a Public Forum when he said that the Secretary of State of the United States (US), Anthony Blinken, tried to pressure him to drop Relations with Russia.

The Incident happened during the Summit of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) last Month of October 2024 that was held in Laos. Before that Summit, in September of 2024, Anwar had gone on to a two-Day working visit to Russia.

Anwar said that he told Blinken, "That’s your Issue; Don’t instruct us. We are an independent, sovereign Country; we make decisions for our People and our Nation". And this is not the first time Malaysia has defied the US as they had always had great Relations with the US’ Rivals, China and Russia.

But what amazes me more, though, is the Fact that despite Malaysia’s open defiance of the US, US Companies still choose to go and invest their Businesses there rather than in the Philippines which has been very docile and subservient to the US.

I have released Videos about the US’ investments to Malaysia several times already, let me just remind everybody about these Investments: "Intel Corporation" for example is investing Usd 7 billion to expand its Plant there to increase their Computer Chip Output.

Another US Company, "Nvidia Corporation" is also investing in Malaysia by putting up a Usd 4.3 billion worth Super Cloud Computing Center to support Businesses related to Artificial Intelligence (AI).

And then the “Microsoft Corporation” went out to invest Usd 2.2 billion to construct Cloud and AI Infrastructure which will benefit around 200,000 Malaysians in Terms of Jobs.

“Google LLC” also subsequently announced that they were investing Usd 2 billion to put up a Data Center and Cloud Region in Selangor.

So all in all, that is a total of Usd 15.5 billion worth of Investments from four US Companies into Malaysia just for this Year of 2024 alone, and all the while Malaysia has been resisting the US and constantly siding with China and Russia.

The Philippines has not gotten anywhere near those numbers in Terms of Investments from the US despite it acting as a willing, obedient and loyal Dog to them, proof that the Philippines really isn’t getting anything substantial from its Alliance with the US that will help with its Progress and Development.
