China sanctions Lockheed Martin, may include cutting off of Rare Earth Material supply

China is sanctioning the American Defense Company Lockheed Martin in relation to the United States’ (US) approval of the repair and recertification of Taiwan’s MIM-104 Patriot (PAC-3) Surface to Air Missile (SAM) System.

Although not mentioned in the article, the sanction could also be a retaliation to the US’ recent sanctions against China over the issue of Hong Kong.

Lockheed is the Main Contractor of PAC-3 Missile upgrade of the Patriot SAM System. China did not mention what Sanctions specifically will be imposed, but it may include the cutting off of Rare Earth Materials (REM) to the Company.

REMs are required in Components used by Weapons and Weapons Platforms, and China is the World's largest REM Exporter while the US imports around 80% of it is REMs from China.

Indian Sources reports that a BrahMos Missile deal with the Philippines is expected to be done within Q3 of 2020

Some reports have come out from India saying that the Philippines is expected to sign a Contract for PJ-10 BrahMos missiles within this Quarter (Third Quarter of 2020).

This is earlier than the news about the deal reported by a European website a couple of months ago that said that the deal will be completed by the end of 2020.

Well as I said before, the sooner the Contract is signed, the better.

Bronco Models' 1/350 Scale Type 056 Jiangao class Corvette Model Acquisition

The box of the Bronco Models 1/350 Type 056 Jiangdao Corvette Scale Model
I bought a Type 056 Jiangdao class Corvette model in 1/350 scale made by Bronco Models recently, not necessarily because I wanted to build Chinese Navy Ships Models, but because it was the cheapest one available.

The other Ship Models like the Type 45 class Destroyer were just too expensive already. Incidentally, the next cheapest model I could find was the Type 052D class Destroyer, another Chinese Navy Ship so I will likely be getting that later.

Yes, the Type 056 is the same vessel that our BRP Conrado Yap had an incident with early this year (2020). Well if they also sell Pohang class Corvettes or even the Jose Rizal class Frigate Scale Models in 1/350 scale then I might buy that one too, as long as it is reasonably priced.

HHI guaranteed to pay to solve any Link 16 compatibility problems with its NS CMS

If the Philippine Navy (PN) finally acquires the Link 16 Tactical Data Link (TDL) capability in the future and has problems integrating it into the Naval Shield (NS) Combat Management System (CMS) of the Jose Rizal class Ships, the South Korean Shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) has guaranteed to pay for any cost involved to solve the problem.

As of now the NS is not yet officially certified to be Link 16 compatible yet, but has shown compatibility with the Link 16 Compatibility Test Tool called Air Defense System Integrator (ADSI) made by Ultra Electronics.

As per previous news reports, the NS CMS plans to try to be officially qualified for Link 16 in 2021.

Max Montero of Maxdefense invents Story again about C-130 Aircraft from the US for Self Promotion

Max Montero of Maxdefense again inventing Stories for Self Promotion. Pag walang maipakitang screenshot iyan e you can bet na imbento na naman yan.

This page never said that his report of C-130 Hercules Aircraft was "Fake News", this page simply ignores his Military Leaks.

Ang Fake News niya e yung imminent Contract Signing ng OPV nung September 2019 at yung wala daw provision sa Towed Sonar yung BRP Jose Rizal. Isama mo na yung dapat daw me Goalkeeper yung Jose Rizal class Frigates, ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.

Pag palpak yung Military Leaks niya e ibang tao ang sinisisi, yung OPV e si Digong pa ang sinisi. Ibang tao ang dahilan kung bakit maangas at magaspang ang ugali niya, never niya daw kasalanan.

2 C-130 Hercules Aircraft arriving in 2020

Finally some movement on the 2 C-130 Hercules Aircraft acquired as Excess Defense Articles (EDA) from the United States (US) that was requested last year (2019).

As per the Department of National Defense (DND), one will be arriving this month (July 2020) and another one will be arriving before the end of the year.

Cost of the acquisition is Php 1.25 billion (Usd 25 million) per aircraft, or Php 2.5 billion (Usd 50 million) for the 2 aircraft at the Usd-Php Exchange Rate of Usd 1 = Php 50.
