Philippine Marines’ Squad Rocket Launcher Light (SRLL) Project Rebid

The first bidding for the Philippine Marine Corps’ (PMC) Squad Rocket Launcher Light (SRLL) Project last month (August 2019) apparently failed, but they are rebidding it again next month (October 2019).

The PMC made numerous minor changes in the Technical Specifications (TS), I think these are mainly to reflect the actual characteristics and performance of the weapons of the bidders based on the questions and issues they posed on the Supplemental Bid Bulletins (SBB).

Hopefully these changes will make the rebidding successful. If successful, this project will allow the PMC to equip each of their Squads with an SRLL or RPG-like weapon, which would be absolutely fantastic. The project also includes not just the launchers but also various types of ammunition including Training rounds.

From the Schedule of Requirements, each Squad will be able to carry at least six Rocket ammunition distributed to two Marines. Budget is set at Php 733k per launcher with ammunition, accessories and training.
