F-16V Viper Production filled up until at least 2026

Lockheed Martin’s (LM) current production capacity for the F-16V Viper aircraft is already filled up to 2026.

This is based on LM’s that the maximum capacity of their Production Facility in Greenville, South Carolina for the F-16V is four aircraft per month or 48 per year.

Now with a firm order (those with signed Contracts already) of 286 aircraft as of now, it will take them six years or to 2026 to finish them all. I am assuming here that the 48 aircraft per year is both for brand new and upgrade builds, and that they will ramp up their production to maximum in 2020.

There is a pending order of 114 F-16V whose Contracts have yet to be signed, but once those firm up then that will add another two years to the production schedule.

LM of course could somehow increase the capacity of their plant, or maybe just open up another plant especially if even more orders come in. At any rate, if the Philippine Air Force (PAF) is to buy the F-16V, the will need to confirm the delivery schedule with them also.
