Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said that Php 9.4 billion of Funds for the Modernization of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) was reallocated for use to fight against the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) Pandemic.
Funds for these Projects may be provided in the next couple of Years. Among the Projects that were defunded include:
* Php 3.5 billion for the C4ISTAR Project of the Philippine Army (PA);

* Php 1.4 billion for the Light Tanks of the PA;
* Php 2.2 billion for the Combat Engineering Brigade Equipment for the PA;
* Php 800 million for the two Landing Docks (LD) of the Philippine Navy (PN);
* Php 264 million for the Medium Lift Aircraft of the Philippine Air Force (PAF)
