Ziwoo I&T Company completed installation and delivery of Simulation System for the AFP

The South Korean Company Ziwoo Information and Technology recently announced the completion of the installation and delivery of their “Shooting Guide” Tactical Shooting Simulation System for the Virtual – Tactical Engagement Simulation System (V-TESS) of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP)

The System is a fully interactive, 3-dimensional Shooting Training System that uses various types of Small Arms from Pistols, Carbines, Assault Rifles, Heavy Machine Guns, Rocket Propelled Grenades, etc to shoot Targets on Environments projected on a Wall.

It uses Class 1 Eye Safe Laser Systems to designate where the Target is hit, and can last up to 6 Months even when used for 5-8 Hour per Day.

The System also uses a Pneumatic System to simulate up to 90% of Felt Recoil, and one Charge can last a minimum of 100 Shots.

Ziwoo signed the Contract with the Department of National Defense (DND) in April 2017 for a total of 5 Systems:
- 1 System with 12 Lanes
- 4 Systems with 4 Lanes each

The System started operations in May 2018 and also includes an unspecified number of Assault Recognition Vests (ARV) which simulates being hit by vibrating and turning on a light.
