The “China Vessel Swarm” Anti-China Propaganda Well

Frankly I found it very suspicious that just DAYS before China was about to deliver their SECOND DONATION of CoronaVac Vaccine for the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19), suddenly this issue of “Chinese Fishing Vessel Swarm” came up, this time on the Julian Felipe Reef (or Whitsun Reef). 

Note that China and the Philippines are not the only ones claiming ownership of that Reef, so does VIETNAM who calls it “Da Ba Dau”. 

Then I remembered, this isn’t the first time that complaints about “Chinese Vessel Swarm” came about, and a simple Google Search showed a couple of times when this issue had been bought up again and again and again. 

I am listing down below the latest ones, during the last 2 Years: 

* April 1, 2019: 275 Chinese Vessels reportedly “Swarming” around Pag-Asa Island (or Thitu Island)

* January 9, 2020: 38 Chinese Vessels reportedly “Swarming” around the Sand Bars of Pag-Asa Island

* March 2, 2020: 100 Chinese Vessels reportedly “Swarming” again around Pag-Asa Island

And yet as I posted recently, when Vietnamese Fishing Vessels are fishing in our Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) and around the Spratlys Islands nobody in the Philippines wants to talk about it. 

What seems to be happening is that the American Intelligence Services start FEEDING the Press here in the Philippines about China’s “Swarming” activities which, of course they make a big deal out of. 

They make it appear as if something is going to happen, that China is occupying this and thus will soon occupy the Philippines, blah-blah-blah, the usual SINOPHOBIA where China is the Monster that will occupy the Philippines and America is the Philippines’ one and only true Lord and Savior. 

Then they wait a few Months when People forget about it, then start the whole process again. In the case of the latest “Swarming” Propaganda around the Julian Felipe Reef, they timed it just as China was set to deliver their second donation of Vaccines to the Philippines. 

This isn’t the last time the Americans will be using this “Propaganda Well”, they will use it again in the future, and I will be there to again point it out.
