Philippine Army Modernization Updates – Mar. 2, 2021

Just some updates on the Modernization of the Philippine Army (PA) from the Philippine Strategic Forum Website:

- All 44 units 12.7 mm cal. Remote Control Weapons Station (RCWS) and 5 units 81 mm cal. Mounted Mortar System (MMS) were delivered in December 2019

- All 15 units of 120 mm cal. MMS will be completely delivered by the end of 2021

- The first 5 units of Light Tanks will be delivered by 2022

‘My Notes’ 

The Notice of Award (NOA) for the Light Tanks released last 2020 put the total number of Light Tanks to be delivered at 30 units while a Press Release by the Israeli Company Elbit Systems Ltd said that it will their Sabrah Model.
