Just a little bit more details of the Submarine that the South Korean Company Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) is offering to the Philippine Navy (PN) by the Defense Publication Janes, it is the 1400PN

The 1400PN is reportedly is an upgraded and modified version of the Nagapasa class Submarines that DSME built for the Indonesian Navy. A Soft Loan could also be provided by Philippines for the purchase of the Subs thru the Export-Import Bank of Korea (KEXIM).

‘Nagapasa class’
The Nagapasa class was derived from the Chang Bogo class Submarines of the South Korean Navy. The Chang Bogo in turn is a variant of the Type 209 Submarine originally built by Germany.

The Nagapasa class Submarine is equipped with 8 Torpedo Tubes and can carry up to a total of 14 Torpedoes and Missiles. It has a maximum speed of 21 knots underwater or 12 knots on the surface, and has an Endurance of 50 days.

It is designed to have a Service Life of 30 Years, and can dive up to a depth of 250 m.
