Defense Sources in Turkey who refused to be named in Public told the Defense Publication Janes that the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) are just waiting for the official, written approval from the United States (US) for allowing the export of CTS800 Engines for the T129 ATAK Helicopter to the Philippines.

Serdar Temir, the Director of Marketing and Communications of TAI reportedly “ensured the Export Approval of the Engines” after making several visits to the US, and the same anonymous Sources saying that the deal is a “done deal”.

‘My Notes’
From this Article, it seems TAI was only able to get Verbal or Informal Approvals for the export. I hope that the US will release the official Written Approval very soon.
