May 20, 2022: The Philippine-made Weapons System called Project Building a Universal mount for Heavy-barrel Automated Weapon Integration or BUHAWI that was developed by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Metals Industry Research and Development Center (MIRDC) has passed its Sea Trials with the BRP Heracleo Alano (PC-376) Vessel of the Philippine Navy (PN) and has been installed on the Ship. May 19, 2022: The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Metals Industry Research and Development Center (MIRDC) is turning over their Project Building a Universal mount for Heavy-barrel Automated Weapon Integration (BUHAWI) to the Philippine Navy (PN) tomorrow, Friday, May 20, 2022 at 9:00 am thru a Ceremony.
