Why BBM (Bong Bong Marcos)?

So why choose Bong Bong Marcos (BBM) to be the next President of the Republic of the Philippines? For me, it is simply because he vowed to continue most of President Rodrigo Duterte’s Policies, and because the Anti-Marcos Forces have miserably failed to bring prosperity to the Philippines as they had promised. 

BBM’s Father Ferdinand Edralin Marcos Sr. ruled the Philippines for around 21 Years, from 1965 to 1986. Of those 21 Years, only 14 Years were under Martial Law, his first seven Years in Office were not. 

On the other hand, from 1986 to 2016, the period when Marcos Sr. was not anymore in Power is 30 Years. So in fact the Philippines has now been much longer without Marcos Sr. than with him. 

And yet where are we now? We are still lagging most of our Neighbors, and even in danger of being surpassed by Vietnam soon. 

Clearly the Anti-Marcos Forces failed to deliver Prosperity for much of the Filipino People, and this is because they prioritized anything but it. 

For example, Artificial Contraception was discouraged for long time after Marcos such that the Philippines’ Population exploded after Marcos was ousted, vastly diluting the Philippines’ Economic Progress. 

They prioritized Human Rights, Minority Rights over the Majority, blah-blah-blah to the point that nothing much was gained over the last three Decades without Marcos Sr. 

The Anti-Marcos Forces (meaning the Rich, the Press, the Communists, the Catholic Church etc.) failed to understand or downright ignored that there will be consequences for their decisions, and those consequences are happening now. 

People thought, we aren’t that much better without Macoy than we were with him, so maybe he wasn’t that bad after all, maybe it is time to give them another chance as the Forces that were against them didn’t do too well. 

It was only when Digong sat in Power in 2016 that the Country began to prioritize what the Majority really wanted rather than what the Rich, the Press, the Catholic Church, etc. wanted, and so far he has done an excellent job at it. 

A lot of Infrastructure has been finished, we are focusing on getting more from Foreign Powers than doing things for them. Crime has gone down dramatically and we beat the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) Pandemic. 

The Majority wants that to continue, and BBM vowed to do that and that is why they are giving him their vote. 

To the Anti-Marcos Forces, you had your chance, but you just miserably fakked it up. It’s as simple as that. Time to give the Marcoses again another chance.
