I’ve often wondered why the United States (US) seemed to intent in pursuing their Propaganda against China lately, to the point that they ended up funding the Philippine Press and Social Media for it, and it turns out that one possible answer to that is they were planning to install Missiles aimed at China in the Philippines.
‘GBIRM Study’
In 2020, the US Armed Forces commissioned a Study to the American Research Organization Rand Corporation on the possibility of doing exactly such a thing to Countries in Asia in the Philippines, and the Rand Corp. just recently published the result of that Study this Year (2022).

The Study involved the installation or basing of Ground Based Intermediate Ranged Missiles (GBIRM) in Australia, South Korea, Philippines, Japan and Thailand. GBIRMs are Ballistic or Cruise Missiles with ranges of 500 to 5,500 km.
‘American Hypocrisy’
This is exactly the type of Hypocrisy the Americans are known for, it would be like China putting GBIRMs near them like in South America or the Caribbean Islands. If China did that, they would likely go to War with them, but apparently they have no scruples if they are the ones doing it to China.

Let me put it this way: What if the US is allowed to do that, as long as China does the same to them, like put GBIRMs near the US Mainland also? How would they feel now?
Thankfully the Findings were that none of the Countries including the Philippines are likely to agree to it, with the Study specifically mentioning President Rodrigo Duterte as likely to disagree with such an arrangement.
But just imagine if Pro-American Mema Lenidoro Leni Robredo wins in the coming Elections, she will likely agree to it right away.
