Indonesia’s alliance with China results in first Bullet Train in SEA, talks for extension started

The High Speed Railway (HSR) in Indonesia built with the help of China has been doing Trial Runs already, the latest of which was attended by the Chinese Premier Li Qiang. The HSR is 142 km long and will connect the Indonesian Cities of Jakarta and Bandung. 

It has a maximum design Speed of 350 kph. This early talks of extending it to Surabaya which is 700 km away has already started between China and Indonesia. The HSR is set to open next Month of 2023 with 8 trips per Month before finally coming up with a maximum of 68 trips per Month by next Year of 2024. 

So Indonesia’s Strategic Alliance with China has resulted in them having the first HSR or “Bullet Train” in the entire South East Asia (SEA) whereas the Philippines’ long Term alliance with the United States (US) has resulted in nothing for the Philippines but them just allowing Filipino Military Pilots to look and caress their F-22 Raptor Stealth Fighter Aircraft. In Filipino, ‘Sino ang t*ng* ngayon?’ (Who’s the Fool now?)
