AFP Chief may have inadvertently confirmed US plan to use Philippines as Proxy Battleground

Philippine News Agency (PNA): PH should invest more in Naval, Air Assets - AFP Chief

The current Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Lieutenant General Romeo Brawner Jr. may not have realized it, but in one of his Statements to the Press recently, he may have confirmed the United States (US) plans to use the Philippines as a Proxy Battleground against China. 

Brawner said, “The refocus is similar to the US' Defense Strategy of "Forward Defense" where Threats are contained or repulsed as far away as possible.”

This means that in a Conflict between the US and China, for example, the US will seek to move any such Battleground to as far away from its Homeland as possible which is the Continental United States (CONUS), and as close to China as possible. And of course the Philippines definitely can be one such Locations, no wonder they are now trying to put as many Military Bases here as they can.

Again, this may not have been in Brawner’s Mind when he said this, but therein lies one Problem with the Philippine Military, when it comes to US, they are too trusting and often gets confused thinking that the Interests of the US is also the interest of the Philippines, which is of course so not true. 

I think you can blame all of that to the subtle Brainwashing that the US has been doing to the Philippine Military for Decades now, thru things they do for them like providing Scholarships to their Institutions, Visits, Trainings, etc. And as we can see, they have been very successful at that and as I reported before, are now seeking to do to the Indonesian Military also
