The Star: Biometric Authentication to be applied at all Airports in Vietnam from November |
In another Proof of how Vietnam is leaving behind the Philippines in its Dust again, the Vietnamese Government just announced that the Check-Ins to ALL Airline Flights in Vietnam will be implemented by next Month of November 2023.
Note that Vietnam is already implementing this on ALL of the Domestic Flights as of now, so by next Month it will include all International Flights as well.
The Philippines is also using such a System already, but only in very limited numbers. According to News Reports, only 21 Electronic Gates (e-Gates) are being used in Philippine Airports, with most of them at the Ninoy Aquino International Airports (NAIA).
The Philippines’ plan also involves only replacing half of its Manual Counters by 2026, unlike Vietnam who is replacing all of theirs already by next Month.
Also note that the Philippines’ e-Gates are only being used for both Incoming and Outgoing Passengers while Vietnam seems to be using theirs for Outgoing Passengers only, I’m not sure if they using these for Incoming Passengers also, but they should.
Meanwhile in the Philippines, instead of implanting useful Stuff like this, Bobong Bong Marcos (BBM) is busy trying to quarrel with “China”. No wonder Vietnam is on its way as the next Asian Tiger while the Philippines remains a US Dog, and Dogs never become Tigers ...
