Just the usual GASLIGHTING of the Philippines of the extent of Support of the Filipino People in Terms of our Disputes in the South China Sea (SCS), this one by the relatively new Survey Firm, “OCTA Research” which is affiliated with the University of the Philippines (UP).
No wonder then that it tends to be Pro-United States (US) and Anti-China. Of course if you ask the ordinary Man on the Street whether they want to dispute our Claims in the SCS with China they will say YES. But what this Survey does not show is that Issues like these are NOT THE PRIORITY of ordinary Filipinos.
And this has been proven by the Surveys of another, more established Company, “Pulse Asia” where their latest Survey this Year in September 2023 showed that in Terms of the PRIORITIES of the Filipino People, defending our Territory only ranked 13th out of 16 Issues, almost DEAD LAST.
Filipinos CLEARLY want other MORE IMPORTANT Issues to be addressed FIRST rather than constantly quarelling with China. I challenge this OCTA Organization to make a similar Survey ranking the Top Priorities of the Filipino People, aber, why won’t they do that?
Also, why is OCTA only focusing on the SCS, I challenge them again to do a Survey about how Filipinos feel about our OTHER Territorial Disputes, like with Malaysia over Sabah, with Vietnam over Pugad Island and with Taiwan over Itu Aba.
Enough of this MISLEADING Surveys that seem to do nothing but prepare the Philippines for a War against China, to be the US’ PROXY BATTLEGROUND if and when they do go over and fight China over Taiwan.
