China's Ambassador to the Philippines, Huang Xi Lian visited in Batanes last Month of March 2024 a Farm that was founded with the help of China and a School where he met with the Students and Faculty and gave some Donations.
First up was his visit to the Joint "Kavaywan Ivatan-Chinese Tourism Farm" which was started in 2018. Here is what the Ambassador said about the Event:
"Glad to visit the Kavaywan Ivatan-Chinese Friendship Tourism Farm in Batanes. Since last Quarter of 2018, with Joint Efforts, the Organic Vegetable Production Project has taken off here and developed well in recent Years. When I saw the colorful Fruits and Vegetables growing vigorously, I could feel the hard work of the Farmers as well as the happiness of Harvest. Hope the farmers and people in Batanes could always enjoy a Peaceful and Fruitful Life."
Next was the Ambassador's visit to the "Batanes State College" where he met with the Students and Faculty, and handed over some Donations of Desktop and Laptop Computers on behalf of China. Here was the Ambassador's Statement about the Visit:
"It's my great pleasure to meet with so many young Friends in Batanes State College. Your Vigor and Enthusiasm truly impressed me. Sincerely hope that our humble Donations of Desktops and Laptops could serve as lucky and Goodwill Keys for you to a broader Life, and help to further enlighten your Academic Career."
