US Electronics Giant Apple Inc. invested Usd 16 billion in Vietnam, and to invest even more

Tim Cook, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Apple Inc. which is one of the biggest Companies in the United States (US) recently went on a two-Day visit to Vietnam where he expressed his Company's intention to invest even more there.

Cook was also quoted as saying that, "There is no place like Vietnam, a vibrant and beautiful Country" during his Visit there where he met with Students, Programmers and Social Media Content Creators.

News Reports revealed that since 2019, Apple has already invested an incredible Usd 16 billion in Vietnam, and as of 2022, 26 Factories of their accredited or approved Suppliers out of a total of 28 are already located there.

This allowed Apple Inc. to be one of the biggest Employers in Vietnam, employing at least around 200,000 Workers there.

Note that Vietnam is a Communist Country, they have no Military Alliance with the US and neither are any US Bases there. They are also a Dictatorial Country with no Free Press and poor Human Rights (HR) record.

And yet despite this, the US has chosen to invest there instead of here in the Philippines where the US has nine Military Bases and has a Mutual Defense Treaty (MDT) with since 1951. The Philippines also has a freer Press than Vietnam, perhaps a little bit too free as it has allowed the US to control it thru the Oligarchs.

This is just one of the many Examples of how the US keeps shortchanging the Philippines by constantly interfering with its Political Affairs, but investing very little in it, choosing to invest instead in many of the other Countries in South East Asia (SEA) like Vietnam.
