May 14, 2026: HSBC warns Philippine Economy is slowing down while Inflation and Unemployment worsening, lowers 2026 GDP Growth Forecast to 3.4%
The Global Investment Research Division of the Hongkong-Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) recently said that the lower than expected Gross Domestic Product (GDP) Growth of only only 2.8% of the Philippines in the first three Months or first Quarter of this Year of 2026 is a Sign that "Stagflation" is beginning to happen to the Philippine Economy.
"Stagflation" means that the Economic Growth is slowing down while the Inflation and Unemployment rates simultaneously goes up. The latest Data for the Inflation Rate is at 7.2%, the highest in three Years. The Unemployment Rate on the other Hand rose to above 5%.
HSBC warns that Things could even get worse if the ongoing Blockade of the Strait of Hormuz continues as it will affect Fertilizer Supply which in turn will affect our Agricultural Output. Another Issue is the ongoing El Nino Weather Phenomenon which will affect our Agriculture even more.
As a Result of these, HSBC has lowered its GDP Growth Forecast for the Philippines in 2026 even further down to only 3.4% from their previous Forecast of 4.6%. If this happens, then it will be the slowest Growth since the Corona Virus Disease-19 (Covid-19) Pandemic in 2020 when the Economy went down by -9.5%.
If the Pandemic Data is excluded, then this will be the lowest GDP Growth rate since 2009, when the Economy grew by just 1.4%. The current Projection of the Marcos Jr. Administration is the GDP will grow by 5 to 6% in 2026 which is now very far from the HSBC estimate.
March 18, 2026: Bureau of Immigration Officers allegedly extorting Php 50,000 each from Chinese and Taiwanese Tourists to enter the Philippines
An Anonymous, former Government Official recently revealed that some Bureau of Immigration (BI) Officers are using the Visa-free Policy to extort Money from Chinese and Taiwanese Tourists.
The Administration of the Bangag President Bong Bong Marcos (BBM) had removed the processing of Visas from Overseas Posts in Taiwan and China, leaving the Discretionary Power of approving or disapproving their Visas to BI Officers upon arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
In one recent Case, three Taiwanese Tourists were invited for a Leisure Trip to the Philippines. However, upon arrival at NAIA, the Visa of only one Tourist was approved, the other two were escorted to an Inspection Area where they were told to either pay Php 50,000 each, or their Visas would be denied.
A total of Php 100,000 was eventually paid to the BI Officers. The Taiwanese Tourists later said that there were also several Tourists in the Inspection Area, some of them were from Mainland China.

Just another Day in the Bangag Republic of BBM, who cannot be removed from his Position because the Kakampink Coalition somehow stupidly thinks that all these are still better than having Sara Duterte become President.

March 16, 2026: ADB to cut down its GDP Growth Rate Estimate of 5.3% for the Philippines in 2026 in Part due to the Flood Control Scandal
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) recently announced that they plan to cut down their Gross Domestic Product (GDP) Growth Forecast of the Philippines for this Year of 2026 mainly in Part due to the Lingering Effects of the Flood Control Corruption Scandal under the Administration of the Bangag President Bong Bong Marcos (BBM).
The ADB had earlier predicted that the Philippines's GDP will grow by 5.3% this Year, but now thinks it is likely to go down lower.
MY THOUGHTS:
While there are other External Factors that will affect our GDP Growth Rate such as the ongoing War in Iran, the Corruption Scandal is definitely one of the main Factors why it will go down.
Put it another Way, our GDP Rate would not have been affected as much if that Scandal did not happen. But it did, so it is affecting our Economy much worse than it otherwise would've been.
March 13, 2026: Under the Bangag BBM Administration, the Philippine Peso has hit another Historic Low versus the US Dollar at Php 59.735
Under the Administration of the Bangag President Bong Bong Marcos (BBM), the Philippine Peso has reached another Historic Low in Terms of its Exchange Rate with the United States (US) Dollar when it reached the Level of Php 59.735 last Friday, March 13, 2026.
The entire Week last Week saw the Philippine Peso reaching its lowest Levels several times, first falling down to Php 59.50 per Dollar last Monday, March 9, 2026 and then reaching Php 59.55 before finally hitting Php 59.735
A weaker Peso means even higher Oil Prices as the US Dollar is usually used to pay for the importation of the said Oil. It also makes Payment of Foreign Debts more difficult as those also need to be paid in US Dollars.
March 11, 2026: Excluding the 2020 Pandemic Data, Net Foreign Direct Investments into the Philippines now at the lowest Level since 2016
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) recently released the latest Data on Net Inflows of Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) into the Philippines, and it is now at the lowest Level in almost a Decade if the Data from the Pandemic Slump is excluded.
Net FDIs into the Philippines in 2025 was only at Usd 7.79 billion which is the lowest since 2016 if the Data from 2020 during the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) is ignored, which was at Usd 6.82 billion.
The 2025 Data is also lower by 17.1% compared to the same Data in 2024 which was at Usd 9.4 billion.

March 11, 2026: News Blackout by Philippine Press as BBM was heckled by Filipinos outside his Hotel in New York City recently
This has been put on News Blackout by the overly Corrupt and Biased Philippine Press, but Bong Bong Marcos (BBM) was met by Protests outside the Hotel he was staying in the United States (US), with Crowd singing, "Marcos Magnanakaw, Marcos Mandaraya" (Marcos is a Thief, Marcos is a Cheater).

I recently had a Conversation with a couple of People, and somehow the Topic ended on how other Countries in South East Asia (SEA) have already surpassed the Philippines. So I started teeing off about how Malaysia and Vietnam has left us so much behind already, blah-blah-blah ...
But then suddenly, one of the People I was talking to blurted out, “E paano kasi, kung sino-sino ang binoboto ng mga Tao” (It’s because the Filipino People voted for the wrong Person). I felt that the Person was alluding to the Duterte Supporters voting for the Bangag into Power, instead of, say, Lenidoro.
I wasn’t able to immediately make a Response, I sort of just nodded and agreed with it then. But I thought about it a lot, and I think my Response should’ve been something like, “Pero ngayon tingnan ninyo, sina Bam Aquino, Risa Hontiveros at Kiko Pangilinan e aprub na aprub na ke Bangag na sinusuka nila dati” (But look at Things now, how Bam Aquino, Risa Hontiveros and Kiko Pangilinan now approve of the Bangag very highly when they threw him up like vomit before).
So let this be a Lesson to all of the other Duterte Supporters out there, whenever somebody blames us for supporting the Bangag before, just remind them of how their Politicians now approve of him very highly when they used to hate him so much then.
