CPP-NPA are declared as Terrorist Organizations in the US and EU, but not in the Philippines

It is so ironic that both the United States (US) and the European Union (EU) had declared the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) and its armed wing, the New People’s Army (NPA) as TERRORIST organizations, but they are NOT officially declared so yet in the very Country they operate, the Philippines.

The EU has declared the CPP-NPA as Terrorists since 2005 while the US did the same in 2017. In the Philippines where the CPP-NPA actually are located, President Rodrido Duterte issued a Proclamation declaring them as Terrorists in 2017.

However, that Proclamation needs to be confirmed the Court to become official, and 3 years later the Court has still not decided on that Proclamation. So we end up in a strange situation where in other Countries the CPP-NPA are declared as Terrorists, but not in the Country where they are exactly.

Philippines ranked 9th in the 2019 Global Terrorism Index

In the 2019 Global Terrorism Index, the Philippines ranked NINTH (9th) in the World. The Index measures the Countries where Terrorism has had the most impact, so that means we are in the Top Ten Countries in the entire World which Terrorism impacted the most.

We are the only Country in South East Asia (SEA) in the Top Ten. The next Country from SEA in the ranking, Thailand, is 9 levels below us at number 18 only.

The other Countries in the Top Ten are Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria, Syria, Pakistan, Somalia, India, Yemen and Congo, meaning those are the Countries we are grouped with in terms of Terrorism.

The Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020 or House Bill No. 6875, otherwise now known as the “Anti-Terror Bill”

So many misinformation being spread around about the Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020 or House Bill Number 6875 by the desperate sections of the Press, the Opposition and the Dilawans, here is a good, independent summary of what it actually is and its features.

Most of the Philippine Press in particular have lost their objectivity and credibility, turning themselves into Propagandists for the Opposition and for American Interests in the Philippines.

If you want to read a actual copy of the bill itself, here is one directly from the Philippine Congress’ website.

Anonymous claims on why the termination of the VFA was suspended

Some details were reported by anonymous sources to the legit news organization One News recently as to why the termination of the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) was suspended by President Rodrigo Duterte:

* An anonymous Western Intelligence Official said that a lot of backdoor Talks and Lobbying were involved on both sides which led to the suspension of the termination of the VFA.

* The Western Official said that a lobby group in the United States (US) convinced the Pentagon and the US State Department to agree to renegotiate the terms of the VFA.

* An anonymous Military Officer assigned to one of the South East Asian Embassies in Metro Manila said that a group of retired Pro-Duterte Generals was able to convince the President to delay the termination of the VFA due to developments in the region.

*************************
We will know if the claims of these anonymous sources are indeed true or not if they are confirmed later, or if some results come out of it, like the claim that the terms of the VFA could be renegotiated. If so, I hope that the new negotiated terms will be a lot more favorable to the Philippines than it is now.

Biden surges past Trump in the Betting Markets to win the Elections in November 2020

There will be a United States (US) Presidential Election in November of this year (2020), and as of this week Democrat Nominee Joe Biden has overtaken Republican candidate Donald Trump in terms of the odds of winning it in the Betting Markets in the US.

Of course this can change by the time the election takes place, but I think a win by a Democrat Nominee could be catastrophic for relations between the US and the Duterte Administration, unless of course they tone down their “Human Rights” rhetoric.

Note also that the Liberal American Press is mostly biased for the Democrats and therefore against Trump and have been doing everything in their power to make sure that he does not get re-elected.
