UP Diliman proposes their AeroComp and Project Diosa Projects for the Philippine Navy

The AeroComp Body Armor Concept of the University of the Philippines

The University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) proposed some Projects to the Naval Research and Technology Development Center (NRTDC) that could be used by the Philippine Navy (PN).

One of these is called the AeroComp which uses Abaca and Kevlar Composite Materials for Body Armor and Vehicle/Vessel Armor.

Another is called the Project Diosa which is a 3D Printed Unmanned Aerial Drone.

‘My Notes’
The Project Diosa Drone reminds me a bit of the (now) old DJI Spark Drone that I own.

I hope though that these Projects will go well beyond just the Prototype Stage and will actually be mass produced and put in service with our Armed Forces.

I remember quite a number of local Defense Projects these past few Decades got stuck and stopped in the Prototype Stage.

Like the Philippine Army (PA) Drones and Project Trident Strike (a Remote Weapons System or RWS) during the time of former President Gloria Arroyo, for example.
